- Read the first post here It took a long time for me to build the Windows 8.1 version of the Explorer8, but I had a good reason for it. The new version is designed and implemented from scratch. The whole system has been renewed and the result is a much better experience for users to enjoy. This version has an abstract view of the folder items which makes it possible to add support for network locations, cloud services such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. plus the I/O operations (copy/ move, etc.) has been rewritten to take advantage of the new model. A couple of hours ago [with a lot of excitement] I tried to download the Windows 8.1 preview. The instruction for the update is easy: Download one little (15MB) update from Microsoft and install it http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/download-preview After the restart the Windows Store will ask you to update if you’d like. Then it occurred to me, maybe I’ll be able to use the same method we used for installing .Net 3.5 offline on Windows 8. To do this, we have to use the dism.exe and extract (expand) the update package. To install, create an empty folder named “8.1” and copy the...

It's the popular December 2012 and many, many rumors are floating around in the Internet. Even though I'm not a professional in this field, I thought maybe I should post something to inform some people that visit my blog. The short answer is: No. NASA has officially rejected any rumors regarding the 2012 being the end of the world. Many have been saying silly stuff and toying with more naive people and unfortunately, some have believed them. You can read below some of the questions and answers from NASA. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2012.html#end Update (12/17/2012): Below is a leaked video from NASA, basically saying “Told you so” and explaining why the world won’t end.
